There is a plethora of information online about parenting, family, and children. I believe that there is a need for growing information concerning every aspect of home and family life, especially supporting parents. Parents seem to be plagued by a tsunami of unreasonable expectations. Let’s help each other sort through the mess to create successful parenting solutions to the difficulties of life today.
Though we may not realize it, as we process through the season of parenting, we grow and develop along with our children.
What are your goals for the family, for your children?
Our children are precious. Children are the future of the world.
Understanding our role as parents, role models, behavioral and moral examples, is essential. Realizing that the decisions we make will effect generation upon generation to come is crucial. No pressure!
Are you parenting with your own values?
Sometimes the economy, the turmoil in the world around us interferes with the job at hand, right in our own families, our job as parents. Perhaps a better description than ‘job’ is ‘profession.’ One of the ‘problems’ is that by the time we are experienced enough to execute a moderately good attempt at this profession, it may be too late. That which we wanted to accomplish is incomplete and that which we wished to leave as our legacy is not as we envisioned. Does the economy, geographic locations, or our cultures block our ‘sight’ from the most important occupation we will ever have? With the deepening recession and political unrest in the world, I believe it does. Support is key.
There is no educational requirement for becoming a parent. Parenting is accomplished through on the job training.
Do our family or personal goals sometimes block the healthy development of our children? Scary! Might the opposite be true?
Do our family goals support the intellectual and physical exploration and human development of our children and their personal goals?
Are we really so different from each other? I think not, not when we look at our desires and goals.
Is it true that history repeats itself? And, does that apply to the family, especially your family, my family?
The point I’m trying to make is that we as parents are an important foundation for our children, for our family, for ourselves, and for the world in which we live. How we treat ourselves, and others, is reflected in the souls and behaviors of our children and in future generations.
Let’s slow down just a little. Let’s treat our children and ourselves as precious.
We are after all, ingredients in the making of the future. The future is out there, right out of reach, just past the horizon. That is where it can always be found.
Let’s create a harmonious and bright future.

Are we parenting with values, honor, and integrity?
Does it really take a village to raise a child? Yes, it does. I want to share my professional expertise and knowledge to support the growth of the parenting profession, the professional parent. Working together, each in our separate families, we will make a difference. We will not only survive, we will thrive!
